Welcome to Ascension Lutheran Church. Even if only “on line,” I am delighted that you decided to check us out. I hope that you will make your way to our little mission outpost, on the corner of Grand Ave. and South 22nd Street in Marion, and join us for worship on Sunday morning at 8:30am or 11:00am.
I am a native of Marion, having lived here for all but seven years of my life. My husband Kurt also grew up in Marion. We have four children, Ron, John, Jennifer and Nick, plus a dog and a bird.
It is an incredible gift and joy in my life to have been called to serve as Ascension’s pastor. This is a congregation of big-hearted and generous people. They are growing in the Lord daily and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the very presence of Jesus in the world. You will receive the hospitality offered to honored guests and be invited to cast your lot with us in the mission and ministry of the gospel.
